Doctors suggest get a tetanus vaccination every 10 years.

The New Year is the time for new beginnings. It’s also the time to buy
a new calendar.Yet it can take a lot of time just to choose the right

calendars that sit on the desk, calendars that hang on the wall,
calendars that carry around, calendars that show a whole month or one
day at a time.

Of course, in one way, all calendars are the same. They all list the same days of the year in exactly the same order.

people do not buy calendars just know what day it is.Calendars have
become popular gifts because many are filled with beautiful pictures.

Some have pictures of famous art works, it is like hanging a
different painting on your wall each month. You can even learn from
calendars. They often give information about their subject such as
famous writers or American Indians or flower gardens.
There are calendars about food and about beautiful places in the
world, calendars about sports and about movies, funny calendars with
popular cartoon characters, calendar of famous people like Elvis

2.创建一个 Swap 文件。

今天开始在沪江英语听写VOA，至少要坚持到放假。 沪江英语是个不错的网站,界面是仿douban ,有点web2.0的风格，可惜做得还不太到位，很多地方不太人性化:-(，有待改善。

Today we have the second of the 2 reports about the education of college athletes in the US.
Millions of Americans follow college sports, many mainly football and basketball.
Schools with good teams are under pressure to win, but now they are also under pressure to do more to make sure their players get a complete education.
On Januanary January 7, the 2 top college football teams were will play in the New Orleans for the National Champgain Championship. Ohio State, rated No.1, will play with No.2. Louisiana State. Privacy laws limit what schools can say about acadamic academic performance. Still, we wondered how these 2 universities support their football players off the field as well as on.
Steve Jefferson directs player development for the football program at Ohio State University. He says all the players can receive the same academic help. This includes, in the first year of school, required meetings of what is known as the Interactive Study Table. This is a program in which players meet with a tutor before the class classes to discuss future their work. Stan Jefferson tells us the that players also meet with counselors who make sure their they are progressing to work toward their degrees.

元旦，yo2升级;-(。年终总结也就拖到现在才发。

2007年，我在迷茫与彷徨中度过，似乎发生了太多的事情，又似乎什么也没发生过。

Fight or flight, it’s a question.

• Fight

2月，07年寒假的MCM，和队友诗淇、先明奋战四天四夜，虽然最后做出的结果不是太好，但好歹有个Honorable Mention。

5月，学校的数学建模竞赛，这是第二次参赛了，我与Zn，wk组队。人口问题，我们觉得做得还行，但是用的方法还是已有的方法，结果没有得奖;-(

6月，ACM/ICPC东北四省赛，与Berg、Zealot组队参加可惜只拿了个二等奖。

7月，何道敬师兄找我一起合作一个声纳地图构建的问题，准备发paper。最终因为实验结果不太好未能如愿。不过，他实在是教给了我很多东西，十分感谢。

8月，学校科技创新。魏忠钰定的题目，我和Berg加入，花费的时间太少，拼命赶工做出了一个粗糙的惨不忍睹的系统。最后虽然通过了审查但是没有得奖- -|||。同时8月，在实验室的一个项目中打打杂。

• Flight

07年寒假在准备MCM的同时我和Berg、Sai、诗淇还在准备着挑战杯的科技创新比赛，题目后来经指导老师改了一下，大家不是特别感兴趣，准备时间又太短，还要学习JXTA，无果而终。

在一个地方呆久了就会厌倦，哈尔滨不是我喜欢的城市，呆久了就想离开。07年，我在保研、直博、考研，这几条道路间徘徊抉择，焦虑不安。这是一条比一条更艰辛的道路。中间又有许多机会、波折，但我最终背弃了自己刚入学时的愿望，不敢去承受更大的压力，只是选择了一条最平坦的道路，最终也只得到一个平淡的结局。虽然说研究实力，工大是很不错的，但是毕竟在北京会有更多的机会，这也是无可争议的。既然无法改变过去，我也只能接受，去改变我所能改变的。

• 锻炼

07年开始，我也知道自觉地锻炼身体，习惯这种东西其实也是慢慢养成的。夏天的晚间锻炼和Zn，猪头坤，刚毅几个人，秋天的早间锻炼和猪头坤几个人。可惜后来天气转冷，逐渐取消了。08年，锻炼当然得继续啦。

• 实验室

10月，我正式加入了数据与知识工程研究中心(Data and Knowledge Engineering Research Center)。刚进入实验室，老板给我们保研的同学和研一的师兄师姐作了一个报告，概述数据管理领域的研究历史、进展，有种一览众山小的感^o^（当初上新进展时也听过类似的，当初没怎么用心听- -|||）。以后就是每周六早上的Seminar。

耳濡目染，其实Research最重要的方面之一就是think deep。对于做技术来说同样重要。这是我在08年应该努力去做的。

12.29.晚上实验室联欢^o^，很不错，尤其是那个DV很强大……。我和于永洋表演相声……晚上还学会打哈尔滨麻将了-_____-。

• 实习

大四开学之始，看到身边的人一个个出去实习了，Zn去了baidu，Berg去了Kooxoo之后又转到baidu，Zealot也去了kooxoo。最讨厌的就是一成不变的生活，意志、激情逐渐磨灭，最后思维也变得迟钝。另外自己还能赚些money^o^。于是我也开始去面试实习。面试过程中还是有些收获的，发现最主要的问题是学习不深入。很幸运地，最后收到了MSRA的实习offer，本想趁学校实习周的机会出去，可惜最后老板没能同意;-( 多少有些遗憾。只希望今年暑假有机会出去了。

这就是我走过的2007。有过奋斗，但更多的时候是迷茫,我其实一直都不知道自己想要的是一种怎样的生活。不管怎样，感谢我的朋友、老师、家人陪我走过这一年。

而2008年的期望与计划其实只有一句话：Think Deep and Do It.
